Since 1952 Steuerle Chapel has been independent, family-owned and operated, serving the families of Villa Park and surrounding communities.
In 1952, Lou Steuerle built the first funeral home as a one chapel establishment at it’s current location on Ardmore Avenue in Villa Park, Illinois. Later, he expanded the funeral home, adding another chapel as well as a family lounge. Archie R. Price purchased the funeral home in 1969 and operated it until his retirement after 27 years of ownership. In 1996, Hank Ebeling III became the owner after several years managing the funeral home. Hank continued the high level of service and compassion that made Steuerle Chapel stand out as one of the premier funeral homes in the metropolitan area.
In November 2020, the legacy of outstanding family-owned and operated service continues as Bob Van Staalduinen, Founder and Owner of Knollcrest Funeral Home in Lombard and his family and staff became owners of the funeral home. With great knowledge and experience with the people and faith communities in the area, the Steuerle Chapel staff are perfect successors to the outstanding legacy of service provided since 1952.
